Erik Hallgren, Chairman
Erik Hallgren is Managing Director of Oresa Ventures, a Swedish investment company dedicated to private equity investments in Central & Eastern Europe. In 2001-2003, he was Partner at Innova Capital, a Warsaw-based private equity fund manager. Mr. Hallgren has been involved in CEE private equity for the past 10 years and led more than 15 investments, including Medicover, the leading CEE private health care provider, listed on Stockholm Stock Exchange, Brewery Holdings, the market leader in Romania's brewery sector, Credisson, a Romanian consumer credit company and Intersource, a Polish temp staffing company. Erik Hallgren holds a MSc in International Economics from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from Solvay Business School.
Lennart Ramberg
Lennart Ramberg is an Independent investor. He is an investor in Mint Capital's first fund and a member of the Investment Committee. Lennart Ramberg is member of various boards of directors and has authored several textbooks. Lennart Ramberg co-founded Altitun AB and brought it to be the recognised leader in its field — tunable lasers for fiber-optic communication. The company was sold to ADC Telecommunications in 2000. Lennart holds a PhD in Physical Electronics from Chalmers University of Technology, Goteborg, Sweden.
Karin Isaksson
Karin Isaksson is Senior Investment Manager at Swedfund International, a Swedish government sponsored venture capital investor. Karin has more than ten years experience in working in the CIS and Baltic markets where she has led or participated in numerous investments, including in various Baltic banks. Her current boardwork includes Pervomayskaya Zarya, a Russian women's fashion producer, Lasertool, an Estonian contract manufacturer, and Leax Baltix, a Latvian contract manufacturer. Ms. Isaksson earned a BSc in economics from the University of Stockholm and she is a Certified Financial Analyst (EFFAS).
Jacob af Forselles
Jacob af Forselles is Investment Director at Ahlström Capital, responsible for private equity investments. Ahlström Capital is a family owned investment company that invests internationally in industrial companies and real estate. Mr af Forselles has more than ten years of experience working with international M&A, both as an investment banker and as a private equity investor. Currently he serves as a board member in a number of private companies. Mr af Forselles holds a M.Sc.(Econ.) from Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki and an LL.M. from the University of Helsinki.
Johan Ljungberg
Johan Ljungberg is CEO of TageHus Forvaltning AB. TageHus is a real estate investor and developer in Scandinavia. The company also has a sizable asset management arm which includes private equity. Johan is an alternate board member of LjungbergGruppen AB a publicly traded Swedish real estate company. He also is a board member at various private companies. Mr. Ljungberg holds a MSc in Civil Engineering from Kungliga Tekniska Hogskolan (Royal Institute of Technology).
Nils Nilsson
Nils Nilsson is a large investor in Mint II, and the embodiment of our entrepreneurial, Scandinavian investor base. Some 20 years ago he founded Orc Software and then built it to a global, publicly traded, provider of technology for advanced securities trading. In building Orc Mr Nilsson, a fluent Russian speaker, gained first hand experience of doing business in Russia, as he shifted much of Orc's product development, R&D and support across the Baltic Sea to St Petersburg. Since the exit from Orc in 2005, Mr Nilsson is wholly devoted to investments in Russia. In addition to Mint II, he is the founder and key man at Ruric, a Stockholm listed fund which invests in St Petersburg real estate.
Ulf Persson
Prior to founding Mint Capital, Ulf Persson had been in charge of private equity investments at Brunswick, including two years as Managing Director of the $300 million AIG and Brunswick-sponsored Millennium Fund. From 1990 to 1995, as a head of the Russian office at Axel Johnson and later at AIOC, he managed export of metals and raw materials from the CIS countries to Europe. Currently a board member of ABBYY, Gameland, 2V Studios, jNETx, Elecsnet, Verysell and UCMS, over the past 10 years Ulf has been a board member of around 15 Russian companies spanning a wide range of industries. Ulf Persson is a graduate of Stockholm School of Economics and the Swedish Defense Language Institute. Living in Russia since 1990, Ulf Persson speaks Russian fluently.
Fredrik Ekman
Fredrik Ekman spent most of the 1990s gaining solid experience in building and managing local companies as he led Oriflame from scratch to a market leading FMCG business in Russia, Ukraine and the Baltics. By 1998 he proceeded to work with the founders of Oriflame establishing Oresa Ventures, their Eastern European private Equity company in Moscow. Fredrik Ekman has worked in Russia since 1989 when he participated in the establishment of Tetra Pak’s first office in what was still the Soviet Union. In addition to board seats in Mint Portfolio companies, Parallel Graphics, Maratex, MONE and A-Dept, Fredrik Ekman is member of the Board of Stockholm School of Economics Russia, the local executive education affiliate of his alma mater. Having first studied Russian at the Swedish Defense language Institute as an army conscript, he is a fluent Russian speaker.
